6-6-09 Tuolumne River Trust paddle to the sea event S.F.

We had a beautiful day along waterfront park in San Francisco, celebrating the end of the long journey down the Tuolumne River to the bay. Bringing attention to the main sourse of our drinking water and tap, along the peninsula. It was educational and entertaining. Among the speakers was Palo Alto Mayor Peter Drekmeier, and later an out of work salmon boat captain.

John and I (Rev. William) walked along the water front and around the fort areas. We did pick up some litter, but we will have to return with our task force and supplies, litter sticks and bags, to finish the job around the old 1863 Battery. ( big gun emplacement )

We blessed the water, we blessed the food, and we blessed the music! It was a great day, thank you everyone involved!

I was introduced to Jennifer Clary, water policy analyst, with Clean Water Action. I appreciate the work they are doing to ensure we have safe, clean water.

I took some pictures, as this was the clearest day I can remember to see all the landmarks.
