We had a beautiful day today, Sunday June 21 Happy Fathers day!

To bad there was litter, But we took out alot, four small bags, and the large CALTRANS bag I am glad we got that junk out of there, including some abandoned fishing gear that hooked my finger!

We got to see some kids enjoying the area after we were done. Thank you Bailey and Mikey!

The area does need some more attention, next time we need to bring the longer picker sticks.

6-6-09 Tuolumne River Trust paddle to the sea event S.F.

We had a beautiful day along waterfront park in San Francisco, celebrating the end of the long journey down the Tuolumne River to the bay. Bringing attention to the main sourse of our drinking water and tap, along the peninsula. It was educational and entertaining. Among the speakers was Palo Alto Mayor Peter Drekmeier, and later an out of work salmon boat captain.

John and I (Rev. William) walked along the water front and around the fort areas. We did pick up some litter, but we will have to return with our task force and supplies, litter sticks and bags, to finish the job around the old 1863 Battery. ( big gun emplacement )

We blessed the water, we blessed the food, and we blessed the music! It was a great day, thank you everyone involved!

I was introduced to Jennifer Clary, water policy analyst, with Clean Water Action. I appreciate the work they are doing to ensure we have safe, clean water.

I took some pictures, as this was the clearest day I can remember to see all the landmarks.

5/31/2009 san francisquito creek

Mikey, Kitci, Baily, William, Marcia (taking photo) walking along the San Francisquito Creek park area near the train trestle in Palo Alto, Ca. Beautiful day for appreciating nature. We had fun, talked together, and then went to Pete's for refreshments. It would be nice for us to just enjoy the walk, but now the next people can enjoy it with out the litter, and hazards, like broken glass, that is gone now. Today's lesson is to help others and listen for the whisper out of the chaos.

Old Page Mill Road, Palo Alto, Califonia

What a nice little stretch of road. For a clean road, we still found almost three whole bags of litter.

This is a favorite place for a stroll, or bike ride. Some folks obviously could be more careful.

This Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day for us to enjoy nature.

Have a great day!
